Five school boards, more than twenty vocational training centres
There are
five school boards
on the Island of Montréal offering vocational training. The English Montreal School Board and the Lester B. Pearson School Board are English-speaking, while the commission scolaire de la Pointe-de-l’Île, the commission scolaire de Montréal and the commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys are French-speaking, with some of their programs also offered bilingually.
These five school boards have
more than twenty vocational training centres
on the Island of Montréal. They offer
approximately one hundred programs
leading to a Diploma of Vocational Study (
DVS
) or an Attestation of Vocational Specialization (
AVS
). More than
fifty of these programs are offered in English
.
